HAPPY DIWALI ???!!!

A very happy Dhanteras to all my readers and a very happy Diwali in advance...

The only reason for me writing this blog a day before Diwali is to wake you all up from the thing we, more or less know and are aware of but for an instance, I also wanted to be one of them who promote to be on the safer side of things and events..

The festival of diwali or deepawali (originally) is  celebreated because it is believed that Lord Rama chandra (who is seventh incarnation of lord VISHNU)  returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana.

It is known as the festival of lights which is one of the largest and brightest of them all. It is celebrated all over India and Indian people. On Diwali night, Hindus dress up in new clothes or their best outfit, light up diyas (lamps and candles) inside and outside their home, participate in family puja (prayers) typically to Lakshmi – the goddess of wealth and prosperity. After Puja, fireworks follow, then a family feast including mithai (sweets), and an exchange of gifts between family members and close friends. Deepavali also marks a major shopping period in nations where it is celebrated.

But do we,celebrate this festival in it's true sense? We all do pooja ,have sweets, decorate our homes and ourselves too but are we doing the same for our environment too? do we care for mother nature and return her the love and affection she gives us all?

The crackers and aatishbaji we do in only 2 days of diwali adds up further to the pollution we emit by our cars buses trucks and other things over the year and it also is broadening up the hole in ozone layer which protects us from the harmful ultra -violet rays...

Furthermore the smoke and harmful chemicals which are blown out of all these cackers creates                     the greenhouse effect more enhanced which is making earth a more warm place by 2% every year which is also a matter for concern at international level.
UNEP (united nations environment programme) keeps on making plans, procedure, steps and schemes to engage countries accross the world to make world a safer and healthier place to live.

By mentioning all this, the point I wanted to put across is that one should celebrate diwali as a festival of lights and not a mean to burn a lot of  money and effort over buying crackers....
We have the right and liberty to be happy over festivals but we should consciously think about environment too at the same time....

And we should also prefer the traditional way of  celebrating diwali we should light up earthen diyas and prefer to be more natural than buying and burning our money over china made products and lightings...

In Delhi,or anywhere the one who spends a lot on crackers and lighting of the house is considered more affluent and richer than the ones who don't do the same...
but the ones who doesn't burn money over crackers much are wiser enough....

At last, it's a humble request to you all to be nature conscious and and burn as less or no crackers this diwali.. Be safe and a very HAPPY DIWALI to all of you...

DADDY'S DAUGHTER

,

PAPA'S GIRL

Daddy's little angel is the girl who is now writing this blog...

this piece of mine is dedicated to my lovely papa who had just went away back for his job in London...

My dad or my Papa has been my friend, philosopher and guide since my childhood days...and for now not just talking about the bonding i and my father share... i think most of the daughters in this universe would have the same feeling for their fathers cause all the dad in this world do care adore and pamper their daughters like no one else does...

I do have bonding with my mom....but that is not as much special as i share with my lovely papa.

there have been moments where i felt that there's no one in this world who can understand my feelings and the situation i was getting through but even in such times dad was just a phone call away and always there for me to make me strong enough to face the circumstances...even if i was crying in the midnight in India he would, don't know how call me all the way through LONDON  and tackle through the matter...

such is the emotional bond of me and my dad.

On a funny note,we also used to joke a lot and sometimes share funny videos at Whatsapp...and he also used to give me funny nick names for which i used to cry and laugh at same time...(it's not easy to do that but i really do it)...

My dad used to come every year for a month in Delhi to meet the family and celebrate the birthday of any one amongst us ( one whose birthday comes in this month is the luckiest of us all 4 and gets whatever he or she wants). Besides all this he used to bring lots and lots of chocolates and clothes which is the most imagined fantasy of girls...

but the thing which makes me feel happy is that dad's finally home...
we don't really used to take care of things and money and spend it like anything (i mean it)...

So,yes i can finally say that my dad is my hero not just because he used to take care of me and my sister specifically but he also used to scold us when we were getting through wrong ways in life...for which i used to cry too..

but later on he used to say sorry too...but afterwards, i realized that whatever was happening was for my betterment itself...

Rest today when i felt really is the day when dad was to go away for his work and that too for a year was a speed breaker in my sweet journey of one month...
during which everything was more than what i wanted chocolates, junk food, and more than anything else... my daddy's love and affection...

On the face of it!!!!

On the face of it!!!!
 Is shyness and pain

On the face of it!!!
Is what one doesn't wants to gain!!!

On the face of it!!!
Is life and growth...

How you gained
Confidence and a positive approach...

While in childhood
As everyone conveys

It is as careless and flawless
As a flowing river

Moving towards the youth age
It starts getting more better...

On the Face of it,
 is displayed it's awakening...

The rise and experience conveys
it's hardships in journeys...

Yes...she's the woman....
 Whom I'm talking about
She's joyous and charming and everyone

The absolute inspiration,
The ideal, the woman,
And the one whom
my world revolves around

Armymen and their widows

"Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil main hai...
Dekhna hai zor kitna bazu-e-katil main hai"
are the words of great warriors of india...the real son of bharat mata and the ones who have sacrificed their lives in battlefield for India....

These brave men have sacrificed their lives in serving the nation...but what about their family??
What about their children??
Would they be able to secure their future?

Would they be able to spend their lives peacefully?
The pension which is promised to the family is it enough to live life?
Be it the indo-pakistani war of 1947-1948 or the kargil war of july 1999...indian martyrs have never laid back in showing patriotism towards country...

But the widows of armymen have been going through a great struggle..that too for their livelihood as well as for their family...Indian government has promised them a pension of 30% and are also allowed to have a second marriage....
Moreover, such a low amount of 10,000 to 12,000 (approx) would this be much sufficient for the family of a widow in such inflating rates..when an individual today spends more than 12,000 per month as personal expense....

Even if their children are promised to be taught in army schools and are given the post of father.... but what about the girl child...would she be also taken for the same post? even this much is not sufficient for the whole family...

Government should be taking firmer and more stronger steps to ensure the wellbeing of family of these martyrs....
If you also feel something after reading this...then please suggest what can we do for them?

Culture of materialism?

                Culture of materialism?

"Money can't buy happiness"....is what we all think....but the theory of materialism and it's believers have a different perspective....

It's been a long time since I've written my last blog...and I was really looking forward to a topic to hit me so that I can wake up from the nap!!!! (I pretended to be sleeping for my readers)...

but I have finally woke up and decided to write about materialism....materialism can be defined a tendency to consider material possessions and physical comfort as more important than spiritual values.

We buy things ,products, services by being online and personally going to the shop... it's only going.. or I should say running towards products....more and more...there is a lot more products available in the market to attract you buy them...they are colourful and soothing to the eyes....much more pleasing  that you cannot even think of the money in the pocket and buy them anyhow.....

Taking the example of the small things of daily use.. be it the toothpaste.... you've a lot more varieties of the same...one for sensitive tooth..one with salt...another with gel base and red toothpaste....
You have to think twice and thrice before choosing between them...and there is also a probability of buying everything from the supermarket...which even wasn't essential and forgetting of the toothpaste....

The theory of materialism is so much prevalent nowadays that people do judge others personality and behaviour by seeing and noticing the products one brings in use.... these products are so much in competition that they promise to provide you happiness, luck, and everything in favour of your good...
So..what I think about materialism is that one shouldn't give more preference to the "things" or products one uses besides.... feel free to use which is necessary instead of making impression and not just use things for the sake of attractive advertising  of the product and the fake promises that products made...

Today, we are living in a materialised world...where u can't cut yourself off from the world...but one shouldn't not blindfoldedly choose amongst them...

The parody of indian tv serials

The evergreen indian tv serials are told to be the mirror of society... and show the events and prodigies taking place....
but I wonder how can a person have road accident, more than one marriage, plastic surgery, memory loss and sudden remembring of the whole then by just a small thing related to the past.... come on you got to be kidding....

I have never seen or met a person ever in life who have had  these things altogether.... and the funniest thing of them all is that the person gets alive after being killed by the so called villain just to take the revenge of being murdered....Duhh!!!!

Another thing which I noticed about the daily soaps is the fact that most of them have a big fat happy family, being loving and caring to each other and suddenly reveals the real face of one of the most loving person as the wicked one!!!! Omg!!!! That's what is known as twist...
Another thing is the melo drama between two women in the house and the attempt to slap each other...and after getting the tight slap in front of the family....the other one starts crying with a tragic background sound....
In fact, I wonder how come the woman of today so weak and impoverished that she cries for a slap and some abusive language...I strictly oppose the potrayal of woman as just busy housewife performing all the household work and taking care of the family...  what I know about today's woman is that she is strong and independent and at same time caring and loving towards the family
One irritating fact which I cannot ignore to mention about them is that they are very contagious....and I mean that...
one cannot stop her imagining about the next episode as mostly the half hour serial stops at a curios point of our interest....
at last all which saves us from this is the reality tv shows which are mostly the light hearted comedy shows..or some singing or dancing contest...which makes us aware of the real outer world (in spite of the news)
Nowadays, a lot more changes are seen in daily soaps for example...Instead of toatally women oriented programmes directors had switched a bit to  ...

showcase the role of men
which is quite commendable....
Please take note that all things written is what i observed about them...not intended to hurt the serial lovers...
but remember excess of anything dangerous!!!! Even the daily soaps...

International yoga day

International yoga day would be celebrated on 21st June...as declared by the United Nations General Assembly on 11th December, 2014... According to call made by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi...21st of june is the longest day in the northern hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world too....
Yoga is a word derived from the sankskrit word "yuj" means to join...it is the science and art of integrating the body mind and soul..it is a bond betweem nature and us...lord shiva, is the first practitioner and yoga guru...who initiated dhyana yoga..
Yoga has proven to heal serious diseases and ailments such as arthritis, asthama, high and low blood pressure and even cancer can be cured if yoga Is followed along with a healthy lifestyle...as according to yoga guru baba ramdev "one should strictly adher to natural and organic products along with at least half an hour of yoga, to be healthy, fit and free from diseases"
Even bollywood celebrities such as shilpa shetty, lara dutta and bipasha basu has recognised the value of yoga and have launched yoga dvds in the market...even actress kareena kapoor khan, priyanka chopra do perform along with gyming to keep their body fit along with a balanced diet....
At last I would like to tell that I am really proud and privileged to be a part of Indian civilisation which is having such a great influence on the world and is proud of its rich culture and heritage...

Exam fever!!!!

Exams are much less awaited truths of student life... students start having nightmares of exam a week before....like the exam getting over before you had finished writing it....reaching late at the exam hall..and the worst one is reaching there when half of the exam time is over....

Oh my god!!!! It is all which scares students before the examination days (peak pressure time is a week before) students tend to study hard and prove them in the curriculum....
So Is good if you take examination spirit in a positive manner....

In my view, exams are the steps to make us reach at our aim in life.... but some take it so seriously as if they want to score the best in the class by whatsoever means.... (Duhh!!!!!)

In my case..I do study the night before exam day but I do attend all the classes and make notes at that very moment.... but some I've noticed to sit with notebook open in front and keep looking at it...(as if the text will fly in the air and come direct to their minds... (sounds funny enough)
But my aim for writing this blog on exams..is just to express what I think about examinations and yes!!! Results do matter too as they make aware you of your own abilities and weaknesses too...so never be scared of the exams and result...as they always show you the scope to improvement....
and at last me too a student so for me happiness is for now the end of exams...and yes...wish me luck for the exams!!!!!

In a country like India

India is counrty with second largest population in the world. We're having the second largest army in the world, but isn't it ironic that in such a developing and advancing nation have population of hypocrisy and stereotypes to shock the world!!!!
Yes, indeed u might be shocked to know that Kavita yadav from a small distict in bihar was abused nd led down by localites because she was wearing jeans.... (wearing jeans as in a leader's opinion is considered as a tool to evoke one's rape instincts)

How can someone judge a girl by her clothes....even in our country, girls are idolised to be wearing salwar suit even if she isn't willing of...
Promoting the traditions are different thing but how can someone judge a person especially girls for wearing what they want to....
In my own opinion how cud a 6 year old child be exposing herself to be raped by her clothes!!!! but they still get raped out of frustration or whatever foolish reason thety want to excuse for
such heinous thing!!!!!

But it isn't all about girls being raped...but I've also came across some reports which have proved sexual assault of boys also,in the childhood days...
come on!!!
Somewhere or the other it isn't about only girls being molested and victimised for sexual assault but...boys also do get through the mishaps....

as all I knw is one shouldn't be considered less victims of such things and thinking nd mentality of one and all shuold be changed regarding the stereotypes which one have presumably taken for granted.... the world belongs to one nd all in the same way then why distinguish people...

salman khan "king of a million hearts"

Salman khan who is found guilty of 2002 hit and run case, was in tears when sentenced 5 years of imprisonment in jail along with a heavy penalty... In fact, it was also a shocking news to the fans worldwide...people got out of homes in support to the celebrity...lots of fans seemed to be crying after hearing courts decision....but after all now salman have got bail from the imprisonment.... and the fans are very much happy about the news...it was all the wellwishes and good fame which salman had incorrued over the years...which had led him to this.....

Besides all this what about the ones who filed the case...who wanted the guilty to be punished and the one who had killed the only person of their family Income should be sentenced justly...

What if the culprit  wasn't as much affluent as salman khan and belonged from some middle class family... the decision could have been different and much more harsher...well, In fact for now the compensation is the hope for the family of convict...
I myself cobsider me as one of the die heart fans of salman and am much happy that i would be able to see much of the upcoming films of salman....but i from my soul is also on the other hand sympathised towards the the family of the sufferers....

       ARE YOU TOO AN "ANMOL?"

Mr and Mrs Saluja who lived happily until...their only son ANMOL who was just 20 when he was declared brain dead in a road accident in delhi...but in my sense, shocking was the decision made by them both after the death of one and only beloved son...

"I only wanted Anmol to be alive even after my death" were the words I heard from Mr. Saluja in the Let's talk health programme headed by Apollo hospitals ...which I attended as a student of mass communication...tears rolled down my eyed when I heard him pronouncing the whole incident of their only child's death...

All this was followed by an A/V about the figures regarding the lack of organ donators and there were huge figures which denoted the mortality rate due to lack of donators in India....

Well, there was another thing that I came to know in the health programme was the fact that the human body if counted in U.S Dollars, a live body costs 600,000 trillion dollars and you would be shocked to know that a dead human body costs zero...but the only way through which you can make yourself "ANMOL" or priceless,  is by pledging to donate your organs to the ones who will make them live even after you will not be present in this world...

In countries, like U.S, it is mentioned in the driver's licence,  if the person is an organ donator pr not... so we, in India also should initiate the awareness programmes as alone ANMOL'S body organs had saved the lives of more than 40 peoples living in this world....
Meanwhile, just try to be "ANMOL" or priceless by donating your body organs...so that even after death...you can give life to others too...
hope you will share this to others and spread the message of being priceless

Earthquake in my view...

hello friends...
here I m with yet another experience of mine....as u all might know...that there has been earthquakes in delhi nd nepal...nd other states of india also, but I have a different perspective to watch all this....people in india are really scared about earthquakes nd I too very much feel sad about the people who died due to the eartquakes in india or in nepal but what my mom thinks is totally different nd I don't think dat people might be looking at dis incident in the same way as my mom had said...."it's all happening just because there is too much sins nd ill happenings in the world, which god wants to stop...he's just alarming us to stop all this, otherwise.... "...nd I was shocked to hear such a perspective of my mum...but afterwards I also agreed to my mum's view to some extent. ..There are we already know environment problems...such as global warming, melting of himalyas, nd other matters such as earthquakes happening frequently....I think that movies such as 2012 are truely showing us how the world's gonna end...nd sometimes its just d end of anything almost scares us...
so this one is just to make aware
you
 all
what
 I
nd my mum feel about the "things" happening in the world nowadays. ..
nd I really want u too to take things in ur own manner nd have ur own perspective of things like I do have....
so comment on it if u want nd u can always email me at
bhawnaarya.arya@gmail.com. ..nd add me on fb also

:)

Hello frnz...
bhawna here with yet another story which is much more different frm my previous one...
today I m going to tell u how was my day at college nd till d ending of d day...how it took a different turn...
frenz as always I woke up late in the morning for the class...I reached late in d class but it was informative as I used to fill in the feedback form...
so like any other day I completed d class and reached late home because of traffic..nd the ever growing population of delhi...but st last when I reached home..my mom got irritated with me as I came late to home...nd I became so much irritated with the scolding that I came up nd locked myself in a room...like a small kid...
nd chose to be locked till the morning time so that everyone realises of my importance nd come to me caring nd asking if I was ok...
but.. I waited for 2 hours.no one came..I got irritated...nd opened the lock of my          r oom...nd slept because no one came to me as I supposed. ..at last....wen I was sleeping my mom came to my bed nd put her hand on my head mum thinking dat I was asleep... " m so sorry beta, but I care for u"....
That tym I behaved lyk m sleeping. ..but after mom went away...I really realised dat mum's love for me wud never change even if she scolds me nd makes me cry sometimes
but all she is....
is a caring nd loving mother...
love uh mom

hope u liked it
if so leave a comment
thnks... :) ♡

Thursday 23 April 2015

Hello friends...as I m a girl frm delhi...but my parents are born and  brought up in uttrakhand only...l used to go there when I was small nd it was such a time consuming task to reach there to my hometown....but I always used to become happy as I wud get the chance to see the himalyas much closer to me...nd while travelling there one thing which struck my mind frm my childhood days is that one incidence which I still remember...still wen i m at masters level. ..while I was according to me in 4th or 5th standard...I remember we were going to my hometown in uttarakhand nd in our way the jeep driver did stopped in d middle of way. ..we also got eager to knw wat happend...but the scene was shocking...I saw another jeep which fell down d hill in a trench in which there were a red chunni of a dulhan nd small slippers or maybe a 5 to 6 year old girl was there...I ws shocked to see that how can a married woman nd a girl child got fell to death in the trench just because of the driver's mistake...or is it d mistake of d road creators who didn't checked the road properly...as roads in uttarakhand are not much well constructed...the reason might be the road or might it be the fault of the driver...but this incident I've always remembered since my childhood days till nw...
will keep writing stuff like dis more
hope u liked it
 :)
